9th Armed Forces Veterans Day Celebrated under ARTRAC Headquarters in Shimla

Shimla, January 13, 2025: The 9th Armed Forces Veterans Day was commemorated on Monday under the aegis of ARTRAC (Army Training Command) Headquarters in Shimla. The event served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices, service, and legacy of our brave soldiers, while emphasizing the strong bond between serving personnel and veterans. It reinforced the Army’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of retired personnel who dedicated years of their lives to protecting the nation in remote and challenging terrains.
Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, GOC-in-C, ARTRAC, who holds the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Sena Medal, presided over the ceremony. On this significant occasion, he honored distinguished veterans for their invaluable contributions to society:
