BJP to Hold Mega Protest Outside Assembly on March 27

Shimla, March 12, 2025 – The BJP has announced a major protest outside the Himachal Pradesh Assembly on March 27 to target the failures of the Congress government. In a joint press conference, BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur accused the Sukhu-led government of being the “most incompetent in political history”.
“Congress will be cornered inside and outside the Assembly,” said Jairam Thakur, adding that the government has failed to fulfill its six guarantees. Bindal went further, stating that the Congress government has a PhD in lying, making grand claims without delivering results.
BJP leaders listed key issues, including:
- Collapse of law and order
- Rise in drug abuse and illegal mining
- Political patronage to the liquor, land, and transfer mafias
- Failure to discuss serious matters in the Assembly
- Economic mismanagement, leading to unpaid social security pensions and missing MLA funds
Bindal also revealed that BJP’s Shimla district unit held a strategy meeting for the March 27 protest, presided over by District President Keshav and attended by BJP State President Dr. Bindal and Organization Minister Siddharth.
