Mega Multi-Specialty Medical Camp Held in Sunni with Over 575 Beneficiaries

Shimla, 6 April 2025: A mega multi-specialty health check-up and free blood test camp was organized at PM Shri Govt. Model Senior Secondary School, Sunni by Rotary Club Shimla in collaboration with Municipal Council Sunni. Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh participated as the Chief Guest and extended Ram Navami wishes to attendees.

Over 575 people from Sunni and nearby panchayats availed free medical consultations and diagnostics. The camp covered various specialties including General Medicine, ENT, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Pediatrics, and more. Free medicines and lab diagnostics were provided in collaboration with Path Labs.

Vikramaditya Singh lauded Rotary Club’s contribution in organizing such camps in rural areas. He announced that under the education reform initiative, Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School at Sunni will be modernized with Rs. 5 crore—Rs. 1 crore already sanctioned as the first installment. He added that the government will promote cluster schools with quality education and sports facilities.

The minister also stated that a modern library will be built near the community center in Sunni at a cost of Rs. 1.5 crore. Additionally, a Rs. 25 crore water supply scheme for Sunni is 75% complete and will be ready within three months.

An awareness drive on e-waste management was also conducted during the camp.
