332-crore development projects underway in Bhatiyat

Chamba, September 5: Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania reviewed various ongoing and proposed development projects in the Bhatiyat Assembly constituency at a meeting held at Janjatiya Bhawan, Sihunta, on Friday.

Pathania directed officials to expedite construction and set a target of completing all ongoing projects by June 2027. He reviewed works being undertaken by the Jal Shakti, Public Works, Revenue, Forest, Health, Animal Husbandry and Agriculture departments.

He said projects worth around Rs 191 crore were currently in progress under the Jal Shakti Department in the Chuwari division. The Public Works Department was undertaking projects worth around Rs 141 crore to strengthen the road network in the constituency.

Pathania also directed officials to expedite construction of the Government College, Sihunta, being built at a cost of around Rs 9 crore.

He stressed the need to keep departmental arrangements in place in view of challenges arising from climate change and ensure public safety and uninterrupted essential services.

A visit of the Chief Minister to Chamba is also proposed.
