Shimla, October 17 – Chief Electoral Officer’s office informed here Monday that in view of the model code of conduct during the assembly elections, 1035 liters of illicit liquor worth Rs two lakh was seized.
The spokesperson of Election department said that liquor worth about three lakh rupees has been confiscated by the police department so far.
The spokesman said that the police have seized charas, heroin, MDMA etc. worth Rs 38,83,760.
During the blockade so far, liquor and narcotics worth Rs 41,82,760 have been seized. MCC came into force on October 14 in the state and notification was issued today. State would goes for assembly elections on November 12, 2022 and counting of votes to be held on December 8.
