St. Thomas School, Shimla, Organises Capacity-Building Workshop on NEP 2020

Shimla, Oct 10 : St. Thomas School, Shimla, organised a Capacity-Building Programme on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to familiarise teachers with its key provisions and promote effective teaching practices.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp. School Principal Sharon Nanda welcomed the CBSE resource persons and participating teachers, outlining the objectives of the workshop. The resource persons were felicitated by the principal.

CBSE resource persons Varsha Thakur and Poonam Anand conducted the sessions, providing detailed insights into NEP 2020 and its implementation in schools. Discussions covered key areas, including the new curricular framework, CBSE initiatives and policies, and innovative pedagogical approaches.

The workshop featured interactive activities and discussions designed to help teachers understand and adopt modern teaching methodologies. Teachers from St. Thomas School, along with educators from other schools in Shimla and nearby areas, participated in the programme and shared their perspectives.

At the conclusion of the workshop, Anshul Sharma, STNC of St. Thomas School, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons and visiting teachers for their participation.

Principal Sharon Nanda emphasised the importance of continuous professional development for educators and stated that the school would continue to organise such training programmes to help teachers enhance their knowledge, strengthen their teaching skills and stay updated with evolving educational practices.
