HPNLU, Shimla Celebrates Ambedkar Jayanti at its campus

Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla, under the esteemed leadership of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Priti Saxena, solemnly celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April 2025, to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar – the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a stalwart champion of social justice and equality.
The event witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and staff of the University. The celebrations began with tributes to the portrait of Dr. Ambedkar, followed reflections on Dr. Ambedkar’s vision for an egalitarian society, emphasizing the relevance of his ideas in today’s legal and social landscape.
Dr. Ambedkar’s pioneering role in shaping India’s constitutional framework and his enduring legacy as a social reformer encourages the students to uphold the values of justice, equality, and fraternity, and to draw inspiration from Dr. Ambedkar’s life and work in their pursuit of legal education and public service.
The University reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusivity, constitutional morality, and the spirit of social empowerment through legal education and awareness.
