Shimla, April 20, 2025 – The three-day literary and cultural extravaganza, Mimansa 2025, jointly organized by the Language and Culture Department, Himachal Pradesh, and Keekli Charitable Trust, concluded on an intellectually vibrant and emotionally resonant note. The festival’s finale featured an engaging conversation between celebrated mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik and eminent writer Shriniwas Joshi, focusing on the evolving role of mythology in modern literature and Devdutt’s pioneering work in children’s writing.
Distinguished guests including Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, Director Dr. Pankaj Lalit, Joint Director Manjit Sharma, Dr. Usha Bande, and several literary stalwarts, parents, and students attended the event, making it a memorable closing chapter.
The day began with an endearing dramatized reading of Koko and Nanhi Nav by young talents Snehal, Dhruv, Sraagvi, and Aardhya, under the creative mentorship of theatre veteran Sohaila Kapur. Their performance underscored the beauty of imagination and storytelling, emphasizing the role of books in nurturing young minds.
Another highlight was the book session led by Dr. Sona Sharma, introducing her delightful works Mandeep Meets Mandeep and The Adventures of Boonda and Boondi. Moderated by Minakshi Chaudhry, the session featured fresh reviews by young readers Amritha Doegar, Srisha, Mrinali, and Nivedita, reflecting the evolving tastes and insights of Gen Z readers.
The concluding ceremony honored winners with mementos and cash awards, celebrating creativity, performance, and literary appreciation.
