Solan, May 6

The Tagore School of Design at Shoolini University organised Design Exhibition 2026 at Pine Court, bringing together a wide range of student-led projects that highlighted creativity, innovation, and hands-on design learning.

Founder-Chancellor Prof P K Khosla inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of Registrar Dr Sunil Puri and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Virender Rihani. The dignitaries appreciated the students’ creative approach and encouraged them to continue exploring new ideas through practical learning and experimentation.

One of the key attractions of the exhibition was the design disassembly of an Audi car gifted by Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla. Using reverse engineering and hands-on analysis, students studied the vehicle in detail and created innovative concepts using different components. The exercise reflected their technical understanding, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

The exhibition displayed a diverse collection of student works, including visual design compositions, colour theory explorations, storytelling panels, lino prints, and artistic sketches. The projects reflected a strong mix of artistic expression, conceptual clarity, and analytical thinking.

Another major highlight was the interactive student presentations, where participants explained their design process, inspiration, and execution to faculty members and visitors. The showcased projects explored themes such as visual hierarchy, narrative design, cultural interpretation, and experimental techniques.

Faculty members Dr Sashank Thapa, Mr Amogh Chougule, and Ms Praba Subramaniam appreciated the students for their originality and innovative approach. Dr Sashank Thapa said such exhibitions helped students build confidence, improve communication skills, and gain industry exposure through experiential learning.
