BUEST Nursing College Celebrates International Nurses Day
1 min readSolan, May 14, 2024*: Baddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST) Nursing College celebrated International Nurses Day with the theme “Our Nurses, Our Future. The Economic Power of Care” on the university campus.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. (Dr.) J. K. Sharma (Vice-Chancellor, Baddi University), Prof. (Dr.) T. R. Bhardwaj (Advisor to Chancellor, BUEST), and Prof. (Dr.) Khushmeet Kumar (Registrar, Baddi University), who served as the Chief Guest. Other notable attendees were Dr. Tej Vir Singh (Professor Emeritus), Dr. Sushma Sharma (Research Associate Pharmacy), Associate Dean of SOS, Dr. Nidhi Gupta, Controller of Examination, Dr. Geena, Student Welfare Officer, Ms. Sushma Singh, HOD of SOAS, Dr. Savita Rani, and all the HODs of various departments.
The celebration commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, followed by a rendition of Ganesh Vandana. Prof. Usha Mehta, Principal of BUEST Nursing College, delivered the welcome speech, emphasizing the global significance of International Nurses Day, celebrated on May 12th to honor Florence Nightingale’s birth anniversary and acknowledge nurses’ contributions to society. She highlighted that strategic investment in nursing can yield substantial economic and societal benefits.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Kavita Choudhary, Assistant Professor at BUEST Nursing College. The guests were then invited for lunch at the ground floor of BUEST Nursing College.
