Private School Recognition & Renewal Applications Open Until March 10: Som Lal Dhiman

The Deputy Director of Elementary Education, Una, has released the schedule for the recognition and renewal process for private schools for the 2025-26 academic session. Deputy Director Som Lal Dhiman stated that under the Right to Education Act, 2009, all private schools from Class 1 to 8 must obtain recognition from the Himachal Pradesh Elementary Education Department.

Private schools must apply online for recognition renewal or new recognition through the emerginghimachal.hp.gov.in portal by March 10, 2025. No applications will be accepted after this deadline.

The recognition fee is set as follows:

• New Recognition (Class 1-8): ₹10,000
• New Recognition (Class 6-8): ₹5,000
• Renewal Fee: ₹500

Fees must be paid online. Schools with expired five-year recognition must apply for new recognition, while others must complete the renewal process.
