Thakur Criticises Congress Protest at Election Department Office

Shimla, Sept. 25: Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur criticised the Congress protest at the Election Department office in Shimla, alleging that government property was damaged and employees were subjected to misbehaviour.

Thakur said such conduct against a constitutional institution was unfortunate. He also criticised the Congress for its remarks against the Election Commission and alleged that the state government was using such issues to divert attention from its shortcomings.

He demanded accountability over the incident and said constitutional institutions should be treated with due respect.
