Workshop Held in Solan on Digital Tools for MSME Growth
Solan, September 25: A one-day workshop on “Smart MSMEs, GeM, Business Planning and Digital Tools for Brand Promotion” was organised here under the RAMP programme being implemented by the Himachal Pradesh Industries Department.
The workshop was chaired by Vinay Verma, Manager, District Industries Centre, Solan. He encouraged MSME units to adopt modern business practices and make use of various government support schemes to enhance growth and competitiveness.
During the first technical session, Kovid Sharma shared insights into smart manufacturing, emerging technologies and innovation-driven solutions aimed at improving productivity and competitiveness.
The second session focused on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), covering registration, the onboarding process and opportunities available through government procurement.
In the third session, Rishabh Shyam, Assistant Professor at Shoolini University, spoke on business planning and brand building. He highlighted strategies for sustainable business growth, effective brand development and market expansion.
General Manager, District Industries Centre, Solan, Surender Thakur also addressed the participants and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained during the workshop to strengthen their enterprises.
Around 80 MSME entrepreneurs and members of self-help groups participated enthusiastically in the workshop.
