Every Panchayat to be Developed as Model Panchayat: DC Anupam Kashyap
Shimla, September 18, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Shimla Anupam Kashyap reviewed development works in four blocks—Mashobra, Jubbal, Narkanda and Basantpur—through a video conference with the respective BDOs.
He directed officials to accelerate rural development works, effectively utilise available resources and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible person.
Kashyap stressed completing infrastructure projects, including school and hospital buildings, on priority and urged Panchayats to prepare development proposals based on local needs and priorities. He said the district administration aims to develop every Panchayat as a model Panchayat.
The DC also directed officials to identify eligible beneficiaries for the state government’s Mukhyamantri Apna Parivar Sukhi Parivar Yojana, which is scheduled to be officially launched on October 2, 2026.
He called for improved departmental performance and warned that negligence or dereliction of duty would invite action as per rules. Additional Deputy Commissioner Sachin Sharma and District Panchayat Officer Vinay Rudki were also present.
