Una Schools to Operate from 8 AM to 2 PM from September 1

Una, August 31, 2026: In view of prevailing hot and humid weather conditions, the district administration has revised school timings across Una district to ensure the health, safety and convenience of students.

From September 1, 2026, all government and private schools in the district will operate from 8 AM to 2 PM. The revised schedule will remain in force until further orders.

District Magistrate and District Disaster Management Authority Chairman Jatin Lal issued the order under Sections 33 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

The revised timings will apply to all government and private schools from the pre-primary to secondary level. The administration said the decision has been taken considering the high temperatures and humidity in the district, with the aim of reducing students’ exposure to the hotter hours of the day.
