Shoolini students take Nasha Mukti Pledge

University joins 100-week national campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Students of Shoolini University joined the nationwide Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyan by watching Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address and taking the Nasha Mukti Pledge.

Launched on August 2, the 100-week campaign aims to mobilise young people against substance abuse and encourage public participation in building a drug-free India. Activities will be held every Sunday across the country, including sports events, walkathons, meditation sessions, cultural programs and awareness campaigns.

During his address, the Prime Minister urged young people to become ambassadors for a drug-free India. He said the goal of Viksit Bharat@2047 depended on physically and mentally fit, confident young people free from addiction. He also called on educational institutions, families and society to work together to prevent substance abuse.

Following the address, Shoolini students took the pledge to follow a drug-free lifestyle and encourage others to do the same. Several participants also shared their pledge certificates.

The University acknowledged the efforts of  Mr. Vipul, Senior Executive at the Dean Students Welfare Office, Shoolini University, along with Mahesh, Senior Manager, IT, and Pankaj,  Assistant Networking Engineer, Shoolini University  and the hostel wardens, in coordinating the programme and encouraging students to participate.
