Bahra University and Government PG College Solan Sign MoU

Waknaghat, Solan: Strengthening their commitment to academic excellence, experiential learning, and student development, Bahra University and Government PG College Solan recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to foster academic collaboration, faculty interaction, student exposure visits, research initiatives, skill development, and career advancement opportunities.
As a significant step towards implementing the objectives of the MoU, final-year Science students from Government PG College Solan visited Bahra University for a one-day academic exposure programme, providing them with valuable insights into higher education, research, innovation, and career opportunities.
The visit offered students an immersive experience of Bahra University’s state-of-the-art laboratories, research facilities, innovation centres, academic departments, and modern campus infrastructure. Students also participated in career guidance sessions, interacted with faculty members, and gained practical exposure to emerging technologies, scientific research, and industry-oriented learning. Such initiatives help students bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world applications while motivating them to explore higher education and future career pathways.
Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor, Bahra University, Prof. R. P. Nainta, said that academic collaborations between universities and government colleges play a crucial role in creating opportunities for holistic student development. He emphasized that Bahra University remains committed to building strong institutional partnerships that benefit students through practical learning and academic excellence.
Registrar, Bahra University, Mr. Vineet Kumar (Ex-IFS), highlighted that the University regularly collaborates with Government Colleges across Himachal Pradesh by organizing student exposure visits, laboratory demonstrations, faculty interactions, workshops, career counselling sessions, and academic exchange programmes. He added that such collaborations enable students to develop confidence, enhance practical knowledge, and prepare themselves for future academic and professional success.
Prof. Maneesha Kohli, Principal, Government PG College Solan, appreciated Bahra University’s continuous support in providing meaningful academic exposure to students. She stated that such visits broaden students’ perspectives and encourage them to pursue higher education, research, and innovation.
Dr. Vikas Guleria and Mr. Anurag Avasthi, Director Student Welfare, Bahra University, also interacted with the students and encouraged them to take full advantage of such collaborative initiatives for their academic and career growth.
