BJP to Bring Separate Vision Documents for All Four Municipal Corporations
Dr. Rajeev Bindal to Lead Aggressive Two-Day Campaign in Solan Municipal Corporation Elections
BJP Has Vision, Leadership and Intent; Congress Has Lost Both Credibility and Public Trust
Shimla, May 11, 2026:
The Bharatiya Janata Party has intensified its campaign for the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections in Himachal Pradesh. BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal will undertake an extensive two-day election tour across various wards of Solan Municipal Corporation on May 12 and 13 as part of the party’s aggressive outreach campaign.
BJP leaders believe that Dr. Bindal’s intensive public contact programme could significantly change the political atmosphere in Solan within two days. During the visit, Dr. Rajeev Bindal will also release the BJP’s “Sankalp Patra” (Vision Document) for Solan Municipal Corporation on May 12.
The BJP clarified that the document is not merely an election manifesto but a comprehensive vision roadmap for the city’s development, focusing on both ward-level and city-level issues directly connected to public concerns and aspirations.
The party further announced that BJP will release separate vision documents for all four Municipal Corporations — Solan, Dharamshala, Palampur and Mandi. According to BJP leaders, each document has been prepared keeping in mind local priorities, regional requirements and civic challenges specific to each city.
The BJP stated that it is the only political party with a clear vision, strong leadership and development-oriented intent, while Congress has lost both leadership credibility and public trust.
Launching a sharp attack on the Congress government, BJP leaders alleged that Congress has only delivered false guarantees and misleading promises, whereas BJP believes in development-oriented and issue-based politics. The BJP’s vision documents will focus on key civic issues such as traffic management, parking facilities, drinking water supply, sanitation, women’s safety, business support, tourism development, youth welfare and modern urban infrastructure.
Senior BJP leaders will formally present the vision documents in all four Municipal Corporations on May 12.
In Solan, the document will be presented by BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal and State General Secretary Sanjeev Katwal.
In Mandi, Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and State General Secretary Payal Vaidya will lead the presentation.
In Palampur, BJP Vice President Vipin Parmar and senior spokesperson Trilok Kapoor will present the document.
In Dharamshala, BJP Vice President Pawan Kajal and MLA Sudhir Sharma will address the programme.
The party stated that local MLAs, former legislators, MLA candidates, state office bearers, election in-charge teams and district presidents will also participate in these programmes.
The BJP expressed confidence that the people of Himachal Pradesh are prepared to support politics based on development, transparency and accountability and will strongly back BJP candidates in the Municipal Corporation elections.
