State Team to Compete in National Championship
Shimla, May 02: Sunil Rohta has been appointed as the State President of the Finswimming Underwater Sports Association Himachal Pradesh. The appointment was announced by Kuldeep Singh Patel, National General Secretary of the Underwater Sports Association of India.
Rohta, who serves as Managing Director of Roots Country School, Baghi in Kotkhai (Shimla), has been actively contributing to the field of education and promoting water sports among youth in the state. He has also been associated with awareness initiatives such as anti-drug campaigns, encouraging positive engagement among young people.
Following his appointment, Rohta informed that Himachal Pradesh players will participate in the 9th National Finswimming Championship scheduled to be held from May 29 to 31 at the Campal Swimming Pool in Panaji, Goa.
The development is expected to provide a boost to underwater sports in the state and create greater opportunities for young athletes.
