IEC University Celebrates International Women’s Day with Cultural Programme

Solan, March 8: IEC University, located at Atal Shiksha Kunj in Solan district, celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm through a special programme involving faculty members, students and staff.

The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the welcome of the guests. Students presented a variety of cultural performances including poetry recitation, speech competition, skits, one-act plays, Haryanvi dance, Giddha and Bhangra, adding vibrancy to the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, Registrar Dr. Prahlad Gupta extended his greetings on the occasion and said that IEC University remains committed to promoting women’s empowerment and their holistic development. He emphasized that the day provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions and achievements of women in society.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the event coordinator Dr. Bharti, who expressed gratitude to all participants and organizers for making the celebration successful.
