JUIT Partners with US-Based FAMU for Global Research & Student Exchange

Solan, 26 February 2026: Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, has entered into a significant international academic partnership with Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), USA, aimed at strengthening collaborative research, student exchange, and global academic engagement. The MoU, formally signed by FAMU’s Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Allyson L. Watson and JUIT Vice Chancellor Prof. R.K. Sharma, marks a strategic step towards expanding international opportunities for students and faculty.
The collaboration emerged from academic discussions during the visit of Prof. Ashvani Chauhan of FAMU, who leads the µBiomics Laboratory at the School of the Environment. Supported by JUIT CEO Shri Manu Bhaskar Gaur, the partnership will focus on joint research initiatives, faculty and student mobility, professional development, and interdisciplinary academic interaction across fields such as engineering, environmental sciences, agriculture, and data sciences.
Dean (Research & Internationalization) Prof. Sudhir Syal noted that the agreement will open new avenues for international research exposure, joint supervision, and knowledge exchange, further strengthening JUIT’s global academic footprint.
