The meeting followed the recently signed MoU between Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) and IRCTC aimed at leveraging each other’s assets, networks, and marketing strengths for long-term collaboration.
Officials discussed expanding HPTDC’s presence across India through IRCTC’s digital platforms and explored the possibility of selling HPTDC travel cards via the IRCTC portal to enhance visibility and bookings. The partnership is expected to improve hotel occupancy, attract a wider tourist base, and generate additional revenue at a time when the corporation is working to overcome financial challenges. Sources said HPTDC is also exploring tie-ups with institutions and corporate houses to further strengthen its hospitality footprint.
