Una, February 22, 2026: MP and former Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur criticised the Himachal Pradesh government, alleging inefficiency in utilising central funds and promoting religious tourism infrastructure. Speaking at the 17th foundation day event of Shiv Shakti Siddh Shri Baba Balaknath Welfare Society in Noida, he claimed that ₹50 crore sanctioned by the Centre for the Chintpurni temple project remains unspent for years. Thakur also highlighted cultural redevelopment initiatives undertaken across the country and urged better focus on heritage and development in Himachal. He said the state’s progress was being affected due to administrative delays and called for improved utilisation of central assistance.
