Jairam Thakur Visits Disaster-Hit Areas of Seraj, Criticises Relief Efforts

Mandi, Jan 03, 2026: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur visited disaster-affected areas of the Seraj Assembly constituency in Mandi district and interacted with affected families. He distributed relief material, listened to public grievances, and alleged that government efforts for disaster relief have been inadequate, leaving people without proper assistance amid harsh winter conditions.
During his visit to Bagachanogi, local residents expressed gratitude to Thakur for the completion of the Patikri–Bhahra–Sheel–Kashimblidhar road, stating that the project was initiated and fully funded during his tenure. Thakur termed the road a major achievement for the region and assured continued commitment to reducing hardships faced by the people of Himachal Pradesh.
He later visited disaster-affected families in Gattu and Jharer panchayats of Chhatri area and Kuklah village panchayat in the Pandoh region, assuring them of all possible support and solidarity during the crisis.
