“Dreams Don’t Work Unless You Do” — Parima

Shimla, Oct 29 Ritanjali Hastir

For Parima Jaswal, the journey from a small-town dreamer to sitting across the legendary Amitabh Bachchan on the Kaun Banega Crorepati hotseat wasn’t just a leap — it was a heartfelt victory years in the making. Originally hailing from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, Parima has spent most of her life in Shimla, where she nurtured her academic brilliance and quiet determination through every phase of her education.

A former student of Auckland House School (up to Class 10) and DAV School, Lakkar Bazaar (Class 11 & 12), Parima went on to complete her Graduation from MCM DAV College, Chandigarh, followed by a Master’s degree (M.Sc. Chemistry) from Himachal Pradesh University.

With both parents rooted in education — her mother serving as Private Secretary in HPU and her father as a Lecturer in English — Parima grew up in an environment where learning was celebrated and perseverance encouraged.

After five years of persistent efforts, audition attempts, and unwavering hope, Parima finally achieved what many only dream of — securing a place on the Hotseat of India’s most adored quiz show. Her episode will be aired on tonight i.e 29 October.

For Parima, this moment is not just a personal triumph but a message to every young aspiring girl in the hills — big dreams belong to small towns too, and determination bridges the distance.
