Shimla, Sept. 22

Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap announced that under the Him Unnati Yojana, 16 Him Krishi Clusters have been selected in the district for the financial year 2025-26. Covering 1,313 bighas of land and benefiting 576 farmers, these clusters will focus on strengthening infrastructure, promoting natural farming, and doubling farmers’ income.

The scheme, launched by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in 2023, aims to set up 2,600 clusters across Himachal Pradesh with an allocated budget of ₹25 crore. It will provide farmers with improved crop guidance, exposure visits, high-quality plants, livestock support, and training in natural farming. Around 50,000 farmers are expected to benefit statewide.
