BJP to Elect New Himachal Pradesh President on July 1

Shimla, June 29, 2025:
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will elect its new Himachal Pradesh President on July 1, 2025, with nominations for the post scheduled for June 30 between 12 PM to 2 PM at the BJP headquarters, Deep Kamal, Shimla. Election Officer Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj announced this at a press conference, stating that the process reflects BJP’s commitment to internal democracy.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted from 2 PM to 3 PM, and if multiple nominations are received, withdrawals will be allowed between 3 PM to 5 PM. The official announcement of the new State President and eight National Council members will be made by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh at Hotel Peterhof, Shimla, on July 1 at 11 AM.
The elections involve 114 delegates, with the list of voters comprising prominent party leaders including Jagat Prakash Nadda, Jairam Thakur, Rajeev Bindal, Dr. Sikandar Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, Anurag Thakur, and others.
Dr. Bhardwaj was joined by co-election officers Dr. Rajeev Saizal and Sanjeev Katwal.
