Shoolini University hosts Yogotsav to mark 58th countdown day to International Day of Yoga 2025

Shoolini University celebrated the 58th countdown day to the 100-day journey leading up to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025 with a grand Yogotsav at the Yuvraj Singh Stadium. The event was organised under the guidance of the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
The event commenced early in the morning and saw the enthusiastic participation of nearly 500 individuals including students, faculty members, and staff from various departments of the university. Participants also included students from Government Senior Secondary School, Mandi and Senior Secondary School, Ochghat, as well as residents from surrounding areas.
Chief Guest Rahul Jain, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Solan attended the event along with his family. Guest of Honour Mrs. Saroj Khosla, President, Shoolini Institute of Life Sciences and Business Management (SILB), also attended and encouraged the gathering with her presence.
The Common Yoga Protocol was demonstrated by Mr. Veer Sharma, Ms. Nandini, and Ms. Catherine Rai under the direction and coordination of Dr. Nidheesh Kumar Yadav, Associate Professor and Head, Yogananda School of Spirituality and Happiness.
Later in the day, two enlightening Guru Talks also held with Prof. Dr. Manas K Mandal, Neuropsychologist from IIT Kharagpur, delivered an insightful session on “Management of Thoughts for Positive Psychology.” And Dr. Satyaprakash Pathak from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, spoke on the “Concept of Chittaprasadana.”
The Chancellor Shoolini University, Prof. Prem Kumar Khosla, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga for entrusting the university for this honour.
The entire event was coordinated and hosted by the Yogananda School of Spirituality and Happiness. The dedicated event team included Ms. Anupama, Ms. Rama, Ms. Renita, Dr. Divakar, Dr. Priyanshi, Dr. Avichal, Dr. Nidheesh, and Prof. Saamdu Chetri.
Dr. Nidheesh Yadav, the Nodal Officer for the 58th Countdown Day, emphasised that the celebration was particularly tailored to connect professionals from modern scientific disciplines with the profound conceptual framework of yoga and spirituality.
