1 min read

Shimla, January 9, 2025: Senior BJP leader and former minister Sukh Ram Chaudhary alleged that law and order in Himachal Pradesh has completely collapsed under the Congress government. He criticized the government for its failure to curb corruption, claiming that its primary concern lies in maintaining its own arrangements.

Chaudhary highlighted several incidents, including a ₹20 crore loan sanctioned by the KCCB Una branch to hotel operators, allegedly bypassing RBI, NABARD, and the bank’s own policies. He stated that the Vigilance Bureau has registered cases of fraud and corruption against hotelier Yudh Chand Bains and bank officials based on complaints by the Cooperation Secretary.

He also pointed out irregularities in Hamirpur’s SVN College of Education, accused of forging fire safety certificates to obtain affiliation for the DElEd program from the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board. The fire department denied issuing the alleged certificate.

Chaudhary further claimed corruption is widespread in public utilities, including water supply, electricity, and construction materials, accusing the Congress government of inaction.
