Shimla Launches 100-Day TB-Free Campaign

Shimla, December 9, 2024: Education Minister Rohit Thakur inaugurated a 100-day TB-free campaign at Bachat Bhavan, emphasizing the importance of awareness and early treatment for tuberculosis. He urged public representatives to act as “NIKSHAY Mitra” to ensure rapid progress.

Five TB Champions and 133 TB-free panchayats were honored for their contributions. The event also highlighted the availability of mobile X-ray services to identify and treat cases in high-risk areas. Officials reaffirmed India’s goal to eliminate TB by 2025 under the TB-Free India Mission.
