Shimla, December 7 – The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, under CM Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, introduced a Minimum Support Price (MSP) for milk, making it the first state in India to do so. The MSP has been raised to Rs. 45 per litre for cow milk and Rs. 55 per litre for buffalo milk. Additionally, a cutting-edge milk processing plant is being developed in Kangra under the Him Ganga Yojana.

The government criticized the Central Government for excluding Himachal Pradesh from the Rs. 3,296 crore special Assistance for Capital Investment Scheme, undermining its tourism potential despite innovative initiatives like Buddhist circuits and eco-tourism.

The Education Minister accused BJP leaders of attempting to destabilize the Congress government due to its growing popularity, dismissing their actions as baseless controversies.
