2 min read

Hamirpur, Oct 4 – Union Information and Broadcasting Minister, Anurag Singh Thakur alleged that the Congress party was not interested in having AIIMS at Bilaspur which was going to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister on Wednesday.

Talking to reporters at Sujanpur on Tuesday, he said that Modi has given Himachal a lot as soon after he came to power and he sanctioned the AIIMS project and a sum of 1500 crore rupees for that. It was laudable that such a project was going to become a reality from Wednesday.

Thakur said that BJP had done excellent work in the state and development had taken place in the state only because of the double-engine governments of the BJP. He said that this is the reason why today Congress leaders have left the party and joined BJP. He said that the leadership of PM Modi was honest, hard-working and people-oriented and what Congress has not done in sixty years had been done by the BJP in just eight years.

Talking about the absence of his father PK Dhumal from a meeting at Hamirpur recently, he said that since Roop Singh Dhumal, the elder brother of Dhumal Ji was unwell in Jalandhar; he (Dhumal’s) had gone there and was still there taking care of the elder brother.

He said that the issues with Congress were over today and that is why they are tossing nonsense. He said that Congress leaders should stop talking silly things and instead work for the people.

Anurag Thakur claimed that the rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bilaspur would be a historic one and the state would get much more from that.
