Hamirpur, March 27 – The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has launched a special awareness campaign to educate officials and employees about the “BIS Care App.” As part of this initiative, BIS Parwanoo branch resource person Fauran Chand and students from Government Polytechnic College, Baru, met Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh on Thursday. They also informed various officials at the DC office about the app.
The BIS Care App allows consumers to verify the authenticity of ISI-marked and hallmarked products and register complaints. Users can easily check ISI marks, verify the purity of gold jewelry, and report product quality concerns.
Fauran Chand stated that students from the polytechnic college are contacting at least ten officials daily to spread awareness about the app. This initiative aims to protect consumers from fraud and promote quality standards.
