Youth Power Crucial for Building Aatmanirbhar Himachal and Viksit Bharat: Rajesh

The four-day State-Level Youth Festival (Group-4: Theatre), organised by Himachal Pradesh University, concluded in Bilaspur with a vibrant display of talent and cultural expression. Rajesh Dharmani, Minister for Town & Country Planning, Housing, Technical Education and Vocational & Industrial Training, graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest and felicitated students for their exceptional performances in acting, direction and stagecraft.
Addressing the gathering, Dharmani said that today’s youth are the true architects of the nation and must work with determination, honesty and perseverance to achieve their goals. He emphasised that the youth hold a crucial role in building an Aatmanirbhar Himachal and a Viksit Bharat, and urged students to avoid shortcuts and stay committed to their aspirations.
The Minister added that such youth festivals not only provide a platform for creative expression but also help inculcate discipline, leadership skills, confidence and innovation among young participants.
Participants from 25 colleges showcased thematic plays based on social issues, patriotism, environmental protection, cultural identity and youth-related challenges. The event featured a strong blend of theatre, music, dance and traditional Himachali art, highlighting the state’s rich cultural heritage.
Principal Dr. P.S. Katwal welcomed the Chief Guest and shared details about the successful organisation of the festival.
