Youth Dies After Slipping on Snow in Balichowki, Mandi

Mandi: In a tragic incident, a young man lost his life after slipping on snow in Balichowki, Mandi district. The deceased has been identified as Khemraj, son of Vikram, a resident of Katurani village.
According to reports, Khemraj had gone to the Narayan Garh forest to collect wood when he slipped on the snow and collided with a tree, sustaining severe injuries. Villagers and friends rushed him to Thachi and later to the Community Health Center in Nagwain via ambulance, where doctors declared him dead.
Khemraj was the only son of his parents and had been married just a few years ago. His untimely death has plunged the area into mourning. Local leaders, including former district council member Sant Ram, Bhoomi Ram, current district council member Hima Devi, Khelwahan Panchayat head Keshav Ram, and deputy head Gauri Dutt, expressed their grief over the incident.
Balichowki Police Outpost in-charge Ram Krishna confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation is underway. He urged residents to avoid venturing into snow-covered areas to prevent similar accidents.
