Dealt with more than 1.05 lakh pending cases in the state

Shimla: Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has said that the current state government has set an example of ‘good governance’ within just one and a quarter years of its tenure. He said that the state government has achieved unprecedented success in resolving pending cases through revenue Lok Adalats. Providing relief to the common people, more than 1.05 lakh pending cases and more than seven thousand partition cases have been resolved under this special campaign till February 2014. These figures themselves prove the success of organizing revenue Lok Adalats.

Dharmani said that the people of Himachal Pradesh are welcoming the state government’s initiative of organizing revenue Lok Adalats openly and wholeheartedly today, and for this, they are expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhhu. It was said in Himachal that revenue cases have to be paid by generations, but the present state government has changed these sayings, for which amendments were made in the revenue laws so that pending revenue cases can be resolved quickly and people do not have to run after offices. He said that for years, the pain of the people of Himachal Pradesh was not understood by any government and no efforts were made to alleviate their suffering, but the sole objective of the present state government is public service. He said that the intention of the government, especially, is to serve that section, which has never been paid attention to by anyone till date.

Rajesh  said that within just one and a quarter years of the tenure, under the leadership of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhhu, the state government has made efforts to make the voices of those sections heard, about which no government ever thought. He said that the sentiment of public service is clearly reflected in the decisions of the state government. The present state government has started the Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Shiksha Yojana, under which the state government is bearing the expenses of education of children of widows up to 27 years. Underprivileged, destitute, divorced, and disabled parents are being given Rs 1000 per month per eligible child up to the age of 18. The Technical Education Minister said that under the Chief Minister Widow and Single Women Housing Scheme, the amount of house construction will be increased from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.

He said that within the short tenure of one and a quarter years, the present state government has not only fulfilled ten out of ten guarantees but has also gone further and written a new chapter of public welfare work.
