Vikramaditya Singh Confident of People’s Power in Mandi, Warns Against BJP’s Financial Influence

Shimla/Mandi, May 8: Contesting candidate from the Mandi parliamentary constituency and Minister for Rural Development, Vikramaditya Singh, asserted that victory in Mandi will be determined by people’s support rather than financial prowess. He emphasized that the Congress possesses the true strength of people’s support.

Before departing from Shimla to Mandi today, Singh expressed gratitude to his supporters at his residence in Holiliog. He urged them to extend their love and support to him during his visit to Mandi on May 9, when he will be filing his nomination. He confidently stated that the Congress is in a strong position in the state and will secure a significant victory on all four Lok Sabha seats in the state. He urged party workers to actively participate in election campaigning in their respective areas with full enthusiasm and unity.

Later, during his journey to Mandi, Vikramaditya Singh visited the Goshala in Tutu and performed a ceremonial worship of the cows, feeding them fodder with his own hands. His mother, Mandi MP Pratibha Singh, accompanied him during this visit. He emphasized that with the blessings of the state’s deities and cows, he and his team will leave no stone unturned in advancing the state’s development with a spirit of public service. He also mentioned that the ideals of his late father, Veer Bhadra Singh, and the love and blessings of the people of the state always guide him.

Vikramaditya Singh inaugurated the party office for the Balh Assembly constituency in Gandhi Bhawan later. During this event, he engaged in discussions with Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and party in-charge for the Mandi parliamentary constituency, Sanjay Dutt, former Minister Thakur Kaul Singh, District President Prakash Chaudhary, Sohan Lal, Chetram Thakur, Pushparaj Sharma, Yashwant Chhajta, Shashi Sharma, Champa Thakur, District Youth Congress President Tarun Thakur, Alaknanda Handa, and officials of the district Congress committee.

They deliberated on the strategy for election campaigning and also sought feedback from party officials and workers on the support they anticipate from supporters in the upcoming elections. They also discussed the election campaign strategy with party leaders, focusing on mutual consultations.
