Vehicular Movement Restricted on Pakkatala-Balu Link Road Due to Road Damage
District Magistrate Mukesh Repswal issues orders in the interest of public safety
Chamba, August 22: District Magistrate Mukesh Repswal has ordered a complete restriction on vehicular movement along the Pakkatala-Balu link road in Chamba due to damage to the road near the Government Middle School.
According to the order, the movement of all types of vehicles on the stretch has been prohibited in the interest of public safety. The restriction has been imposed under Section 115 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
The order states that vehicular movement will resume only after the necessary repair and restoration work is completed and the Public Works Department certifies that the road is safe for traffic.
The Superintendent of Police and other concerned officials have been directed to make necessary arrangements for traffic regulation and barricading and to ensure strict compliance with the order.
The administration has urged commuters to cooperate with the restrictions until the road is restored and declared safe for vehicular movement.
