Unveiling of Virbhadra Singh’s Statue Postponed to July 15

Shimla, June 15, 2025 — The much-awaited unveiling ceremony of the statue of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, originally scheduled for June 23, has now been postponed to July 15. The change in date was made following a request by senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi, who are expected to be present for the event along with other prominent central leaders.

State PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, the son of the late Virbhadra Singh, confirmed the revised schedule and stated that the new date will allow several top-level Congress leaders to participate in the ceremony. The unveiling is expected to be a significant event, celebrating the legacy and contributions of the six-time Chief Minister who played a pivotal role in shaping modern Himachal Pradesh.
