Training Program Conducted for Women Election Officers on Election Process and EVM-VVPAT

Hamirpur, May 6: In preparation for the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, a training program was organized on Monday at the District Council Hall for women presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, and polling officers who will be deployed at polling centers operated solely by women officers on June 1.

During the training program, Manish Kumar Soni, Assistant Electoral Officer for Sub-Division 38-Hamirpur, guided all officers to thoroughly understand the election process and the functioning of EVM-VVPAT machines. He emphasized the importance of seeking complete information from master trainers if any doubts arise, to ensure that no issues or unnecessary disputes arise on the day of voting.

Soni mentioned that another sub-division level pre-training will be conducted on May 14 to provide detailed information to women officers about the election process and the functioning of EVM-VVPAT machines.

Master trainers of EVM-VVPAT, Vijay Chauhan, provided detailed information to women officers about the functioning of the EVM-VVPAT system. Surjit Chauhan and Arun Katna also briefed the women officers about the election process and various arrangements made at polling centers.
