Traffic Disruption on Chandigarh-Manali NH Due to Construction Work at Pandooh Transit Camp

Chandigarh-Manali NH will remain closed in two phases from Monday to Friday due to ongoing construction work at the Pandooh Transit Camp located along the NH. Consequently, traffic will be disrupted in two phases daily on this route, with no vehicular movement during the specified times. However, alternative routes via Katola may be available for small vehicles heading towards Kullu.

During the first phase, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, vehicular movement will be restricted, followed by a ban on traffic noise from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM in the second phase. Due to the construction work at the Pandooh Transit Camp, there will be no vehicular noise from Bindrabani to the Pandooh Transit Camp on the Chandigarh-Manali NH.

ASP Mandi Sagar Chandra appealed to all travelers and the public to plan their journeys keeping this information in mind. He emphasized the importance of adhering to this notice while planning their travel. With the rise in temperatures in the plains, tourists are increasingly heading towards Kullu-Manali. As a result, there has been an increase in tourist traffic over the weekends. Taking this into account, the notice has been issued until Friday. It is expected that traffic will not be disrupted over the weekend due to higher noise levels from tourist vehicles.
