THDCIL-IKCA Academy Shines at Asian Canoe Sprint Cup with 3 Gold and 5 Silver Medals

Rishikesh, January 24, 2025: The THDC-IKCA High-Performance Academy brought glory to India by securing three gold and five silver medals at the Asian Canoe Sprint Cup held in Hong Kong from January 11-13, 2025.

R. K. Vishnoi, CMD of THDCIL, congratulated the athletes, emphasizing THDCIL’s commitment to excellence beyond energy generation, including sports development and women empowerment. He attributed this success to the state-of-the-art facilities provided by the academy, ensuring the athletes could compete at the highest levels.

Athletes such as L. Naocha Singh (2 silver), Vishnu Reghunath (1 silver), Parvathy G (2 gold), and Ph. Gyaneshwor Singh (1 gold) delivered exceptional performances. These achievements reflect the academy’s role in nurturing world-class talent.

Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel), highlighted THDCIL’s dedication to holistic development and expressed optimism for the academy’s athletes competing in future global events, including the Olympics.
