THDC Marks 39 Years with Renewed Focus on India’s Energy Future

THDC India Limited celebrated its 39th Foundation Day across its corporate office in Rishikesh and project locations nationwide, reaffirming its commitment to innovation, sustainability and strengthening India’s energy security.
Managing Director Sipun Kumar Garg highlighted the company’s transformation into a key player in the power sector, noting that THDC’s installed generation capacity has reached 3,907 MW. He said the commissioning of the 1,000 MW Tehri Variable Speed Pumped Storage Plant and the 1,320 MW Khurja Super Thermal Power Project marks a major milestone in the company’s growth journey.
The Foundation Day celebrations also recognised employees for outstanding performance, innovation and service through a series of excellence awards. THDC reiterated its vision of expanding clean and reliable energy infrastructure while emerging as a leading force in India’s pumped storage sector to support the country’s long-term energy transition.
