Recently, Sh. Shallinder Singh, Director (Personnel) THDC India Limited, inaugurated a three-day International Conference on Nonlinear Analysis and Applications (ICNAA 2024) & Symposium on ancient Indian Mathematics at Pandit Lalit Mohan Sharma Campus, Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University, Rishikesh.
The conference, dedicated to the memory of Late Professor S. L. Singh, aims to delve into the realms of Nonlinear Analysis while celebrating the rich heritage of ancient Indian mathematics. Sh. Vishnoi highlighted THDCIL’s role in supporting academia and fostering innovation, underscoring the conference as a platform for participants to showcase their technical expertise globally.
Sh. Shallinder Singh extended a warm welcome to esteemed guests, including Mrs. Krishna Singh, Prof. M. S. Rawat, Prof. Anita Tomar, and eminent faculty members from various countries. He emphasized the significance of honoring mathematicians like Srinivasa Ramanujan, Aryabhata, and Satyendra Nath Bose, while also recognizing the contributions of modern icons like Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya and Dr. E. Sreedharan.
Highlighting THDC India Limited’s commitment to education and social development, Sh. Singh emphasized the establishment of an Engineering College in Bhagirathipuram, Tehri, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. This initiative aims to nurture talent and provide pathways for youth to realize their potential.
In line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, THDCIL operates three schools, providing quality education to over 850 children from economically weaker backgrounds. Additionally, the company runs a computer training center to promote digital literacy among youths, enhancing their job-oriented skills.
