Tenure of Bulk Drug Park in Una Extended to March 2026
1 min readNew Delhi, July 9, 2024: The Scheme Steering Committee (SSC) for the Bulk Drug Park (BDP) in Una, Himachal Pradesh, has extended the scheme’s tenure until March 2026. The decision was made during a review meeting chaired by Dr. Arunish Chawla, Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals.
Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Director Industries and Managing Director-cum-CEO of Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Pharma Infrastructure Limited (HPBDPIL), presented the project’s progress and outlined the need for the extension. He cited delays due to heavy rainfall disasters in 2023 and the time required for environmental clearances as primary reasons.
The SSC accepted the justifications and granted the extension. Prajapati assured the committee of the project’s completion within the new timeline and expressed gratitude for their continued support.
The extension underscores the SSC’s commitment to the project’s success, which is vital for the pharmaceutical sector and the economic development of Himachal Pradesh.
