Survey on Domestic Tourism Expenditure Underway in Chamba

Deputy Commissioner Urges Residents to Cooperate with Statistical Teams

Chamba, October 23 — A statistical survey is currently being conducted under the 80th round of the National Statistical Survey to gather detailed information on domestic tourism expenditure.

Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal informed that the survey aims to collect data on travel-related aspects such as the purpose of travel, type of journey, and mode of transport. Teams from the District Statistics Office and the Directorate of Economics and Statistics are visiting selected villages to carry out door-to-door surveys, with all information being recorded digitally.

He urged residents of the district to extend full cooperation to the survey teams and provide accurate details. The Deputy Commissioner assured that all shared information will remain confidential and will be used strictly for statistical purposes.
