The Sukhu government wants to fail the National Health and Public Child Safety Program.
Shimla: In a statement released from Shimla, leader counterpart Jay Ram Thakur said that the health system in the state is in a very bad state. The government of the system-changing happiness is neither serious about the health of the people nor serious about the implementation of the plans of the central government. The central government is taking full care of the health of the people of Himachal through the National Health Mission under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and providing full economic support. Free treatment under the ‘Free Drug Policy’ and free investigation under the ‘Free Diagnostic Initiative Services’ have been arranged by the central government across the country. The cost of which is borne by the central government under the National Health Mission but the Sukhu government has also taken away from the people. Health facilities are the constitutional right of the residents, which the Sukhu government is taking away.
Jairam Thakur said that the misfortune is that the Sukhu government did not spare the prasuta and pregnant women in case of snatching facilities. The Sukhu government wants to fail the Janani–Shishu security program run by the central government. That is why the Sukhu government is discriminating against pregnant women even after the central government has given full support. The National Health Program is being run by the central government, which ensures access to various health services for the countrymen, including maternal health, child health, adolescent health, family planning, universal immunization, and control of major diseases. Under this, the Janani–Shishu Security Program (JJSK) is being run. So that maximum facilities can be provided to the maternal child and negligible maternal-child mortality. But it is unfortunate that even after dozens of schemes run by the central government and full economic support for health facilities in Himachal, the Sukhu government is charging money from pregnant and prone women, newborns, and even unborn children.
