Sukhu Government Running “Fee-for-Everything” Regime, Says Jairam Thakur

Shimla, August 12: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur accused the Sukhu government of increasing the financial burden on Himachal Pradesh residents by raising taxes and charges on essential services.

Thakur alleged that higher fuel costs, increased fees in education and healthcare, and additional levies were making everyday life more expensive. He also criticised the government over delays in pensions and the reported shortage of medicines and healthcare services.

He urged the government to focus on providing affordable public services and welfare rather than imposing additional financial burdens on citizens.
