St. Edward’s School Marks Feast Day with Time Capsule and Centenary Fête

Shimla, October 13, 2025 — The third day of St. Edward’s School Centenary Celebrations coincided with the Feast Day of its Patron, St. Edward, under the theme ‘A Legacy That Endures.’ The day began with the flag hoisting ceremony and a grand welcome by NCC cadets for distinguished guests including Mr. Aniruddh, Bishop Sahaya, His Lordship Bishop Ignatius L. Mascarenhas, Rev. Fr. Ambrose and Rev. Fr. Angulus.

The celebration featured the Time Capsule Ceremony, an alumni march past accompanied by the Police Band, and the formal handover of the school flag to the School Cabinet — a symbolic gesture of leadership and continuity. The inauguration of the Memorial Park paid homage to the institution’s illustrious heritage.

Adding vibrancy to the day were the Art Club exhibition and the Fête organised by the Outreach Club, reflecting creativity, innovation and community spirit. The cultural programme in the school auditorium beautifully encapsulated the school’s 100-year journey through music, dance and inspiring messages.
