Special Gram Sabhas to Be Held Across Una District from August 6 to 8: Deputy Commissioner

Direct Interaction with BPL Families to Assess Their Needs

Una | July 30, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal has issued directions for the effective conduct of Special Gram Sabhas to be held across the district on August 6, 7 and 8. The meetings will be organised in all Gram Panchayats under every development block.

The Deputy Commissioner said beneficiaries selected under BPL Phases I to VII will be invited to participate. Through direct interaction with these families, the administration will assess their actual needs and facilitate assistance by converging various government welfare schemes.

He instructed all Block Development Officers to ensure the participation of the identified BPL families. Panchayat Pradhans, Panchayat Secretaries, Ward Members and other local representatives have been directed to inform beneficiaries in advance and make all necessary arrangements, including seating, documentation and inter-departmental coordination.

The Special Gram Sabhas will be organised across the four development blocks of Amb, Bangana, Gagret and Haroli on August 6, 7 and 8, covering all notified Gram Panchayats as per the official schedule.

The initiative aims to strengthen grassroots governance by enabling direct dialogue with economically weaker families, identifying their genuine requirements and ensuring timely delivery of government welfare benefits through coordinated departmental support.
